Born as Ruddy Lillian Thuram-Ulien or popularly known as Lillian Thuram was born on the 1st of January, 1972 in Guadeloupe. He was a retired football player and holds the position of a defender in the national football team of France.

He also holds the title of being the highest capped football player of the France football national team as well as among the twenty highly capped football players of all times. In about 15 seasons, Lillian Thuram has played in top positions for Spain, Italy, and France.

These 15 seasons include 10 seasons played with Serie A and includes playing with Juventus and Parma. In addition to his football career, Thuram was also engaged in certain political engagements.

Playing as a team member of the France team Lillian Thuram succeeded in attaining the Euro 2000 Cup and the World Cup of 1998. He also participated in the World Cup tournaments of 2002 and 2006, the Euro Cup of 1996, 2004, and 2008.

France managed to reach the final of the 1998 World Cup and won after beating Brazil by 3-0. Although Thuram scored only two major goals and that two in one game, his extraordinary performance made him win the Bronze Ball as well as the title of being the most valuable player of the tournament.

After seeking retirement from Euro football, Lillian Thuram carried on with his club career and played for one year with the Paris Saint-Germain. But later on, when the player was detected to be a heart patient, the contract was canceled.
