Lindsay Davenport was a famous tennis player. Although she failed to grab as many titles as many other tennis players did, she was popular for her strength and attitude. She won three Grand Slam titles, including US Open, French Open, and Wimbledon to become a three-time Grand Slam winner.

Lindsay Davenport also won a gold medal at Olympics in 1996. She achieved World No.1 ranking for 2005 and remained there for most of the year. She was a complete player with a powerful forehand, backhand, and serves.

Right from the beginning, female tennis players in tennis were doing quite well and had achieved great feats in the tennis world. Women have been actively engaged in the tennis game for a long time now and have held great power positions like the male players.

Female tennis players are considered as the all-time champions in the tennis arena and are looked upon as wonder women with great talent.

She achieved rank 1 in the world in 1998, 2001, 2004, and 2005. Despite her inconsistency, she managed to win 700 singles matches, landing in the tennis elites who have won more than 700 games. Before she retired, she hit the high note and won her career’s fourth double.

Davenport’s career ended early as she suffered from back injuries in her last few years in the game. Her back problem was so severe that she had to quit playing tennis at all, not just the professional game.

Despite carrying an injury, she was among the speculated winners at the 2006 US Open. She may not be remembered as the greatest player ever but there is no doubt that she is among the players with a charming personality and strong attitude. She will be remembered for that for as long as tennis lives.
