Famous Hollywood actress Jamie Lee Curtis started her career in 1978, appearing in the popular Hollywood movie titled “Halloween”, which was the highest grossing movie of the year.

In 1980, she appeared in another horror movie titled “The Fog”, which was a commercial hit despite getting mixed reviews. Her next movie appearance was in “Prom Night”, followed by another horror movie “Terror Train”, which turned out to be a huge success.

In earlier part of her career, Jamie Lee Curtis’s name was associated with horror movies. In 1980s, she appeared in more Horror movies like “Halloween II”, “Halloween: Resurrection” and “Halloween H20: 20 Years Later”. After back to back successful horror movies she was known by the name of Scream Queen.

Alongside movies, Jamie Lee Curtis continued to appear on a variety of TV shows and plays including “Columbo” in 1977, “Charlie’s Angels” in 1978, “Anything But Love” in 1989-1992 and “The Heidi Chronicles” in 1995.

Jamie Lee Curtis earned the nominations for Genie and Saturn Award for her performance in her third movie titled “Terror Train”. In 1983, she won the BAFTA award in the category for best supporting actress for her role in “Trading Places”.

In 1988, she again won BAFTA award nomination along with Golden Globe nomination for the movie titled “A Fish Called Wanda”. In 1994, she appeared in “True Lies” co-starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and won Saturn and Golden Globe Awards for best actress.
