FC Zenit Saint Petersburg football club is a Russian international league football team located in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The club was founded in 1925, plays in the top-flight “Russian premier League” table for the 2011/12 season. Zenith St. Petersburg football club plays home games at “Petrovsky” stadium, having a capacity of 22,025 spectators.

FC Zenit Saint Peterburg, well known as the “Sine-Belo-Golubye (Blue-White-Light blue)”, “Bomzhi (homeless, bums), “meshki (bags, sacks)”, plays home games in light blue jersey with light blue shorts and away games in white jersey with white shorts. Nike is the kit sponsor of FC Zenit.

The origin of the Zenit football club begins in the 20th century. After changing several names and owners during the time of 1914 till 1938, finally, FC Zenit was ordered to take in members of the “Stalinists (the predecessor team of Zenit)” metallurgical worker’s team after the end of the 1939 season.
