Alba began her acting career as a child star at the age of 13 in “Camp Nowhere” then followed by a role in “The Secret World of Alex Mack” back in 1994. As a child, she also appeared in some TV advertisements for Nintendo as well as J.C. Penney.

She also did some roles in two of the episodes of “Beverly Hills”, “90210”, “The Love Boat: The Next Wave” and “Brooklyn South” during 1998 and 1999. Her other TV appearances include “Flipper” (1995-97), “Chicago Hope” (1996), “Entourage” (2004), “Trippin’” (2005) and “The Office” (2009). Jessica Alba has appeared in movies of various genres like science-fiction, horror, romantic and comedy to name a few.

Major breakthrough in her career came when she appeared in movie “Never Been Kissed” alongside Drew Barrymore followed by a lead role in “Idle Hands” in 1999.

But her real claim to fame was her role in James Cameron-directed, science-fiction based television series “Dark Angel”, which had two seasons and was aired on TV during the period 2000-2002.

Her brilliant performance in “Dark Angel” brought her the cherished Golden Globe nomination in the category of Best Actress as well as 7 other nominations for different awards.

She won Saturn Award, Teen Choice Award and TV Guide Award for best actress for Dark Angel during the period of 2000-2002. Her other movies include “The Killer Inside Me” (2010) also co-starring Kate Hudson, “Valentine’s Day” (2010) co-starring Julia Roberts, Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway as well as Emma Roberts.
