Born on the 26th of September, 1976, Michael Ballack is a former football player from Germany. In the history of the international team, the player is counted to be among the top goal scorers he started his career at an early age and played for his local team Chemnitz however, his professional debut match was held in the year 1995.

Michael Ballack always used to wear a shirt numbered 13 for every team he played except for the Kaiserslautern. His first season in the club bought him success and his team won the Bundesliga. Moreover, he is also accredited to earn the first national cap for Germany. His main skills lie in the area of the passing range, ball skills, commanding presence within the midfield, and scoring ability.

Michael Ballack was selected by Pele to be among the top 100 Greatest Living Players of FIFA. He was also selected to be the player of UEFA Club Midfielder of the Year in the year 2002. In addition to this, he also won the title of German Footballer of the Year in the years 2002, 2003, and 2005.

He was part of the team when it won the German Club and Bundesliga in the year 2003, 2005, and 2006. In the mid of 2006, he joined the Premier League Club and earned his first English honor The League Cup, and the FA Cup in the first season. He was also appointed as the captain of the national team by Jurgen Klinsmann in 2004.
