Usually, it is believed that the Champions League in European club football is the most popular club football tournament in the world. This might be correct but the popularity of the Europa League cannot be denied.

The most important reason for its popularity is that any top club who fails to make it to the top slots to qualify for the Champions League makes it to the Europa League. This automatically makes this tournament equally thrilling and equally star-studded.
