Popular football player Jose Enrique is a 25-year-old Spanish born footballer (born 25 January 1986) who currently plays his football for English Club Newcastle United.

Jose Enrique primarily plays as a left-back and stands at 1.84 meters (6 feet 0 inches) and wears the number 3 shirt for Newcastle. Enrique started his senior football career at Spanish football club Levante‘s B side.

Making 19 appearances for them before moving to Valencia in 2005-2006 Enrique failed to make a single appearance for Valencia and spent much of the year on loan at Celta Vigo before moving to Spanish and La Liga football club Villareal.

Where he stayed for 1 year and played 23 times before finally moving to English football club Newcastle United. He played a vital role in Newcastle’s promotion back into the Premier League after having an exceptional season in The Championship for them in the 2009-2010 season.

After Newcastle’s relegation in May 2009, many clubs approached him but he refused to leave stating his love for the club and city and saying he would help them back into the Premier League.

Jose is yet to represent the Spanish International team on the senior level but has represented the U21, U20, and U16 sides. Jose is known for his brilliant positioning skills and tackling.

His brilliant pace allows him to make sure that not many strikers or wingers can beat him on pace hence is considered as one of the best LBs in The Premier League. According to rumors, there has been interesting from Arsenal football club who are looking for a Left back.
