Giuseppe Rossi is a 24-year-old American born (February 1, 1987) Italian footballer who plays football for the Spanish football club Villareal. Though American born he plays his international football for Italy as he is a dual-citizenship holder.

Giuseppe Rossi primarily plays as a striker for Villareal he stands in at 1.73 meters and wears the number 22 shirt. Rossi started his professional footballing career at English football Giants Manchester United after breaking into their senior team from their youth team.

He only managed to play 5 times and score one goal for Manchester United before going on loan to first Newcastle United where he failed to score and then Parma where he made 19 appearances. After which Manchester United sold him to Villareal where he finally started to excel.

Rossi’s partnership with Nilmar is one of the best strike partnerships in The Spanish football League. Rossi is known for his amazing speed and dribbling skills which makes it easy for him to beat defenses and makes up for his lack of height and lack of aerial ability.

He won the Olympic Golden boot in Beijing in 2008 for Italy scoring 6 goals in 6 games for the Olympic Italian side. He has also captained The Azzuri (Italian side) on 17 November 2010 when he was handed the captain’s armband by the Italian manager against Romania in a friendly. But due to injury, he could not take part in Italy’s World Cup campaign in 2010 which turned out to be a horrible display by Italy.
