A very famous and popular football player Karim Benzema is a 23-Year-old French Born footballer (born 19 December 1987) who plays his football for Spanish and La Liga giants Real Madrid. He’s also represented the French National Team at the international level.

Benzema started his club career at French Giants Lyon mainly as a striker. He was in their youth set up from 1996 to 2004 finally breaking into their senior team in 2004.

Benzema made a total of 112 appearances for Lyon football club from 2004 to 2009 and scoring 43 goals in the process also winning the French League 4 times in a row from 04/05 to 07/08. It’s at Lyon where Karim Benzema caught the eye of Europe’s biggest clubs but decided to sign for Spanish giants Real Madrid football club in 2009.

He’s made a total of 60 appearances for The Spanish giants as of now scoring 23 times. He struggled to settle in Spain in his first season but slowly found his feet in La Liga for Real Madrid in his second season.

Benzema is mainly deployed as the main striker and he excels as the frontman in the 4 4 2 formations. He’s known for his fast runs and dribbling skills and his clinical finishing which makes him a great striker and target man.

He was criticized for often being lazy in his first season for Madrid but he made up for that in his 2nd season. He’s also represented France at the national level after refusing to play for Algeria where his parents were born and picking France instead.
