6. Kai Po Che (2013)

This movie revolves around cricket and friendship. These two elements are the best ingredients for any Bollywood flick. It has a plot of finding the next Sachin Tendulkar, also known as the God for Indians. The movie also did good business at the box office.

7. Iqbal (2005)

This movie represents all the Indian children who dream to play for the Indian national side. The story revolves around a deaf and dumb farmer’s son who somehow makes it to the Indian cricket team. Starring the likes of Shreyas Talpade and Naseeruddin Shah, this movie won critical acclaim.

8. Jo jeeta Wohi Sikander (1992)

This has to be one of the most loved movies of the 90s despite its age-old formula. Poor guy and rich brat fighting for the same girl, the movie includes the marathon cycle race. With Aamir Khan in the lead role, this movie was the sole inspiration for remakes in Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali.

9. Boxer (1984)

This movie stars the great Mithun Chakraborty who has played a role of boxer. The character overcomes his modest upbringing to become the champion.

10. Awwal Number (1990)

It was a different sports movie where a terrorist plans to bomb a cricket stadium. The cricket stadium was to host India versus Australia match. Aamir Khan played a match-winning innings in the movie.
