Owen Cunningham Wilson is a renowned actor, writer and producer; he was born in Dallas, Texas, United States of America on 18th November, 1968, in a family that was actively involved in the world of movies, in different capacities. His father was an advertising executive, mother a photographer and brothers were astute film makers.

Early Career

Owen Wilson had a successful start to his career with his debut film “Bottle Rocket” as an actor and co-writer, followed by his stint as creative collaborator in movies “The Royal Tenenbaums” and “Rushmore”, which earned him and Wes Anderson Best Original Screen Play Oscar nomination. Owen Wilson appeared in a lead role in “The Minus Man”, which brought his acting skills in the limelight.

He landed minor but important roles in “The Cable Guy” costarring Jim Carrey, “Anaconda”, “The Haunting” and “The Armageddon”, which proved to be successful films. In 2000, Owen Wilson appeared alongside Jackie Chan in “Shanghai Noon”, which gave his career a much needed boost.
