The name is Walter Bruce Willis which says it all. He has done all sorts of roles for film and television including action, comedy & dramatic roles and has performed them immaculately. Willis was born in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany from a German mother and American father. He had problems with his speech in his childhood which he overcame by acting in school plays and drama clubs. Willis met actress Demi Moore at the premiere for the film Stakeout whom he married on November 21, 1987 and had three daughters. Willis and Moore share the custody of daughters even after divorce. His career begun on the off-Broadway stage in the 1970s.

He is a two-time Emmy Award-winning, Golden Globe Award-winning and four-time Saturn Award-nominated actor. He has described himself as having come from a “Long Line of Blue Collar People” but he chose acting and excelled in it. Willis made his theater debut in the Off-Broadway production of “Heaven and Earth”. He initiated his television career with an episode of “Miami Vice”, titled “No Exit”. The first major film roles was in the 1987 Blake Edward’s film “Blind Date” with Kim Basinger. However, it was “Die Hard” that turned the tables. This film was followed up by “Die Hard 2: Die Harder” and “Die Hard With a Vengeance”. These first three installments in the “Die Hard” series grossed over US $700 million internationally and propelled Willis to the first rank of Hollywood action stars.
