Heather Joan Graham was born on 29th January, 1970 in Wisconsin, U.S, she started her acting career in 1984, playing a cameo role in “Mrs. Soffel”, which went un-credited, followed by a string of TV appearances in “Student Exchange”, “Scrabble”, “Growing Pains”, “License to Drive” and “Twin Peaks”.
In 1989, Graham got her next movie role in “Drugstore Cowboy”, followed by a brief but important role in “Swingers”. Her career breakthrough came in “Boogie Nights” in 1997, for which she earned Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, in the category for outstanding performance by a Cast.
She was offered her first ever lead role in “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me” (1999), the role won her Blockbuster Entertainment Award as well as Saturn Award nomination in the category for Best Actress. Other mainstream film roles played by Heather Graham include movies “From Hell” (2001), “Bobby” (2006), and “Killing Me Softly”.
Side by side she also kept appearing on TV, she appeared in an episode of “Sex and the City”, some episodes of “Scrubs” by NBC TV, Arrested Development in 2005 and Emily’s “Reasons Why Not” in 2006.
In 1997, she earned MTV Movie Award in the category for Best Breakthrough Performance for her role in “Boogie Nights” as well as Florida Film Critics Circle Award in the category for Best Cast.
In 2006, she earned Screen Actors Guild Award in the category for Outstanding Performance by a Cast for the movie “Bobby”. Her other movies include, “Boogie Woogie” (2009), “The Hangover” (2009), “Scream 4” (2011) and “5 Days of War” (2011).
